The Government have just announced that they are planning to make squatting a criminal offence. If successful through the Houses, they are looking to enact it in the New Year.

This may have implications for Arun, specifically Bognor, where we have had numerous reports of squatters, particularly those from the Eastern and Central European countries as evidenced from the last rough sleeper count earlier this year.
